Congratulations to Dr. Patsy Duff on
her appointment by the Provost as the first Hanban Professor of
Chinese Language and Literacy Education
Research in LLED, following the recommendation of an inter-faculty
committee. This appointment also means she is now the Director of the Centre
for Research in Chinese Language and Literacy Education.
Patsy's appointment has been warmly welcomed by the Head of Asian
Studies, Dr Ross King, who looks forward to working closely with her and
with
LLED colleagues in the Centre's activities.
Hearty congratulations to Marlene Asselin, and to our good friend Ray Doiron, University of Prince Edward Island, on receiving the inaugural International Association of School Librarianship Technology Innovation Award for their development of iBrary .The award will be presented in Berkeley in August, 2008.
