Symposium on Chinese Language Education (Jan.15, 2010, UBC)

On January 15, 2010, CRCLLE is going to host a half-day (afternoon) symposium on Chinese language education. The general symposium theme is research, theory and practice in technology applications in Chinese language education and teacher education. Although the main focus of the symposium is on Chinese, implications for other languages will be involved.

Dr. Shuhan Wang (Deputy Director, National Foreign Language Centre, University of Maryland) and Dr. Yong Zhao (University Distinguished Professor, College of Education, Michigan State University, founding director of the Center for Teaching and Technology, executive director of the Confucius Institute, as well as the US-China Center for Research on Educational Excellence) will be keynote presenters. A panel discussion will be held after the presentations.
